Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a first person shooter. You can make use of vehicles, helicopters, stationary weapons and so on, but the focus is infantry combat.
Depending on the game mode you play on large sized (rush), medium sized (conquest) and small sized (squad deathmatch and squad rush) maps.

By playing you get points, and with points you unlock weapons amongst other things. You get these points by helping your team. For example, if you are a medic and you drop a medkit near a injured teammate, who is also defending a flag and is also in your squad, you get points for healing him, and you get a bonus because he is in your squad and defending the flag.

PC multiplayer supports up to 32 players on dedicated servers. For the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 the limit of players is 24.

Game modes

Rush

In rush the objective is to either destroy or defend the 2 objectives (M-COM stations). When the objectives get destroyed, the battlefield will move to another part of the map. This part of the map is not accessible without the objectives being destroyed. The attacking team has a limited amount of tickets (respawns),while the defending team has infinite.

Conquest

Conquest is the classic Battlefield game mode, which means there are 3 flags. Whoever has the least of these will lose tickets, and dying costs tickets as well.

Squad Rush

Squad rush is the same as rush, with a few exceptions:
  • the maximum amount of players is 8, since it's 1 squad of 4 against another squad of 4.
  • Only 1 M-COM station.
  • Infantry only.

Squad Deathmatch

Squad deathmatch is the classic team deathmatch, where 4 squads of 4 players fight against each other. Whichever squad reaches 50 kills, wins.
These maps have 1 anti-personnel vehicle.

Player Classes

Assault
The front soldier. Equipped with an assault rifle, which is effective at medium to long range, and also has a 40mm launcher. It can be used as a grenade launcher, shotgun, or smoke launcher. The assault class is also the class that drops ammo boxes that will resupply your ammunition.

Medic
The support class. Has a powerful light machine gun which is deadly on pretty much every range, and has a very large clip. The medic can revive teammates with his defibrillator, and heal injured teammates with his medkits.

Engineer
The class you need to use vehicles effectively, due to his repair capability. Also carries a submachine gun which is suited for close combat, and this class can carry missile launchers which are suited for taking out tanks.

Recon
The sniper. Has a high powered sniper rifle which can take you out in 1 shot if it's a headshot (or a bodyshot at medium range with the m95) or 2 shots if it's a bodyshot. The recon is strong against stationary armor due to his 2 anti vehicle options: C4, and mortar strikes. Also has a motion sensor which functions as a radar.
